Adventure Camp on the Environment (ACE Camp) emphasizes plant-soil-animal relationships, range livestock management, wildlife, aquatics, forestry and water quality. The camp features field and classroom activities designed to provide a well rounded natural resources education.

We have a variety of trees and shrubs available to landowners.  Trees may be purchased as hand plants where you plant them yourselves, or as a machine planting where our staff will bring in the tree planting machine which is capable of planting thousands of seedlings a day.  If you are interested in us planting your trees/shrubs, the sign-up deadline is November 30^thso please give our office a call at 308-367-4281 or your local NRCS office.  Order forms for the trees and shrubs available for purchase will be out in August and final orders will have to be turned in no later than F

Producers in the Upper, Middle and Lower Republican NRDs in southwest Nebraska, which includes all or portions of Perkins, Chase, Dundy, Lincoln, Hayes, Hitchcock, Frontier, Red Willow, Furnas, Harlan, Franklin, Webster, and Nuckolls counties, may apply for funding to make irrigation system efficiency improvements.  Eligible conservation practices include: converting gravity systems to subsurface drip with a maximum payment of $1,000 per acre; permanently retiring end guns on pivots for $2,000 per acre; and installing high intensity soil moisture sensors for an approximate total of $5,000 o

The 2013-2017 allocation period is in its last year, along with that has come several questions about water usage and penalties. The MRNRD Board of Directors has approved the next allocation period for 2018- 2022 and producers will have 60” allocation plus an allowable reserve of up to 12” (IF YOU HAVE IT AVAILABLE OR AS ADJUSTED FOR PENALTIES IMPOSED BY OVERUSE) from the 2013-2017 allocation period.
